Lore

The trask is an amphibious predator native to the planet Grismara. Originally domesticated by the Mordesh, who harvested their skin secretions for use in alchemical formulae, trasks look much more vicious than they are. If properly trained from birth, trasks are incredibly tame and make loyal pets and mounts. Unfortunately, their fearsome appearance has led unscrupulous parties to train them for war.

Trasks prefer warm, moist environments and can be found prowling the swamps and bogs of Grismara in search of prey. Their hides are often smooth, though several trask species common to drier climates feature thick scales along their flanks. Large fins and spines, used in mating displays, often protrude from their necks and backs, and their long tails are often pointed or barbed.

Trained trasks have a lifespan of 20 to 30 years.
